Beehive VSOP 1L
Beehive VSOP 1L
Beehive VSOP 1L is a French brandy from Beehive, a brand owned by Bardinet. The VSOP recipe was updated in 2019; it brings together oak-aged brandies with a small touch of Armagnac, which adds a bit more depth. It is a good, everyday brandy that still feels like a step above the basics.
What It Tastes Like
Beehive VSOP is a warm amber. The smell has wood and vanilla, with ripe pear coming through. On the palate it is smooth; there is candied fruit, a little prune and a light spice. The finish is warm and fairly long.
About the 1L Bottle
The 1L bottle gives good value for regular brandy drinkers. We prefer it neat in a small glass or with one ice cube; however, it also does well with soda if you want something lighter.
