Haywards 5000 Beer Can 50CL

Haywards 5000 Beer Can 50CL has been around since 1984 and is one of the biggest names in Indian strong beer; today it is part of AB InBev's Indian brands. It is a lager with extra strength and extra body, made for people who find regular lager a bit too thin.

What It Tastes Like

Haywards 5000 is a deep gold, close to amber. The smell is sweet and malty, with a little caramel. In the mouth it is full and rounded; the malt is the main flavour and the bitterness is low. You do notice the alcohol as a gentle warmth, especially at the end, and the finish is long and slightly sweet.

About the 50CL Can

The 50CL (500ml) can is a big serve, and with a strong beer it is a good idea to take it slowly. We would say it is best with food; spicy dishes in particular, since the sweetness of the malt calms the heat. Keep the cans well chilled.
