Hennessy XO 1L is the cognac that created the XO category. Maurice Hennessy blended the first XO in 1870, originally for his family and friends. It is made from long-aged eaux-de-vie, and it has a deep, rich and spicy style that is quite different from the VS and VSOP.
What It Tastes Like
It is a deep amber with copper tints. The smell is rich and layered; candied fruit, dark chocolate, black pepper and warm spice. On the palate it is full and velvety, with dried fruit, cocoa and oak. The finish is long and spicy.
