Lagavulin 16 Year Old 70CL comes from the Lagavulin distillery on the south coast of Islay, which has been making whisky since 1816. Its slow distillation in pear-shaped stills gives a deep, smoky and rich single malt, often called one of the great Islay whiskies.
What It Tastes Like
It is a deep amber. The nose has rich peat smoke, iodine and dried fruit. On the palate it is full and sweet, with smoke, sherry and sea salt. The finish is very long.
