Select Bitter Aperitif 1L
Select Bitter Aperitif 1L
Select Bitter Aperitif 1L was created in Venice in 1920, and it is the original bitter for the Venetian Spritz. It is made with around 30 botanicals, including rhubarb and juniper, and it has a rich red colour and a bittersweet taste.
What It Tastes Like
It is a deep ruby red. The nose is herbal, with orange and rhubarb. On the palate it is bittersweet and full, with a pleasant bitterness. The finish is long.
About the 1L Bottle
The 1L bottle is ideal for Spritz lovers. The Venetian way is Select, prosecco and soda over ice, garnished with a large green olive; it does sound strange, but it works very well.
