The Epicure De Luxe was launched in 2012 as an exclusive for La Casa del Habano stores, and it comes in a slide-lid box of 10. Hoyo de Monterrey is known for elegant, lighter-bodied cigars, and this one follows that style.
How It Smokes
It opens with cedar, fresh hay and a light floral note. As it develops, you get creamy cocoa, roasted nuts and a little leather. It is medium in body; smooth and refined rather than powerful, which makes it a good choice for afternoon smoking.
About the Box of 10
Each cigar measures 115 mm with a 52 ring gauge, a short, thick format (the factory calls it Mágicos) that gives around 40 to 50 minutes. A box of 10 is ideal for regular smokers or as a gift. Keep the box in a humidor, or with a humidity pack, once opened.
